CREATIVE TEAM

CHARLES BLOOM (Composer/Lyricist/Librettist) is originally from Los Angeles. He studied Theory and composition at NYU. 

Among the long list of artists to perform/record his songs are: Patti LuPone, Mandy Patinkin, Michael Feinstein, Christine Ebersole, Cheyenne Jackson, Jason Graae, Vicki Lewis, Bronson Norris Murphy and George Dvorsky.

For the theatre, he has written the book, music and lyrics to Pablo (about the young life of Picasso), Insomnia, Heaven Knows and the score to This Will All Be Yours (Book by Laura Pedersen). 

His recordings include PABLO (Directed by Stephen Nachamie) and IN HERE: Music and Lyrics by Charles Bloom. Both were recorded by a 20-piece piece orchestra with some of Broadway's best and were Produced and Orchestrated by David Snyder). 

Most of his shows have been cast by Jamibeth Margolis who, with HEAVEN KNOWS, is directing his work for the first time and musically directed by Andrew Wheeler for whose long-time support his appreciation cannot be measured....and Merete, thanks for walking with me to school every day for this one.

JAMIBETH MARGOLIS (Director/Casting Director) With nearly twenty years of professional experience in theater and opera, Jamibeth Margolis is a stage director based in New York City with credits at prestigious theaters and opera companies around the US.

Recent theatrical directing credits include: The Good Jew at the United Solo Festival in NYC, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene’s Broadway: A Jewish American Legacy gala event, The Whole Megillah at 54 Below and Here’s To Life!!! At the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in NYC.  She also directed a semi-staged concert production of The Music Man for Pacific Symphony.

Other theatrical credits include Do I Hear a Waltz? and Jekyll and Hyde at the Arvada Center Theater in Denver.  Ms. Margolis worked alongside Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks on the Broadway revival of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial and on A Bad Friend by Jules Feiffer at Lincoln Center Theatre. She also helmed developmental productions and staged readings of new musical works including Save The Palace, A Girl I Know, Owl Creek, Far from the Madding Crowd, Great Googly Moo, and Warsaw.

EZEKIEL ANDREW (Steven) A native of the Mississippi Delta, Ezekiel Andrew enjoys a career of both excitement and versatility. He is most grateful to have performed in some of the major regional theaters across the country. Some of his favorite roles include Coalhouse Walker Jr. (Theatre Under the Stars), The Beast, Beauty and the Beast (Syracuse Stage) Jim, Big River (Utah Shakespeare Festival). In November of 2021, he made his Broadway debut with the cast of Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway in New York City.

Ezekiel also enjoys being active as a concert artist, most often creating his own programs and opportunities as he travels from theater to theater.

With a heart for youth and arts education, Ezekiel enjoys giving back to the community by going to high schools and colleges, holding masterclasses and talkbacks to inspire the next generation of artists.

JARED SIX (Stage Manager) (he/him) is thrilled to be stage managing the reading of Heaven Knows. Jared is a New York City-based stage manager hailing from a small town in Ohio, and is thrilled to be working in the Big Apple! He recently graduated from Pace University with his BA in Stage Management. Jared also just recently made his onstage Off-Broadway debut and is currently in Friends! The Musical Parody as Gunther as well as being the assistant stage manager. Some of his most recent stage management credits include: Bonjour Mon Amour (PSM), Good Jew (PSM), The Chechens (PSM), and the Second Stage Theater Gala (PA). He hopes you enjoy the show!
